Car crash victim remains in critical condition

Thursday 27 April 2017

Ten days after the Easter crash on the Five Mile road involving four boys, the car driver remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

18-year-old Fraser Armstrong is in the intensive care unit of Southampton Hospital.

An 18-year-old passenger left Hospital last Friday, and the other two passengers, both 17-year-old males, were discharged the morning after the accident. All went to De La Salle, and in the days after the crash, Tim Silvester, the school's Assistant Head Teacher, extended the school’s “thoughts and prayers” to the four and their families.

“With God’s grace they will make a complete recovery and be back with us soon,” he said.

The crash happened on 16 April at around 23:00.

The Police have appealed to anyone who was in the area and could have information on the accident. They have also requested that anyone who has CCTV on their nearby premises get in touch so that they can take a look at the footage.
