The Commodore Clipper is going into an early dry dock, disrupting travel from Jersey to the UK in early September.
In addition to the Clipper’s early dry dock, a revised timetable has been published to allow for additional work to be carried out on the Commodore Goodwill.
At a time when many islanders are taking their children to university on the ferry, Condor said that they "regretted" the travel disruption caused.
Although both ferries’ withdrawal from service was anticipated, the Clipper’s four-week dry dock has been brought forward one week, starting on 7 September due to an unexpected scheduling change in a replacement freight vessel.
The Goodwill was expected to go into dry-dock in September, but will undergo some unforeseen additional maintenance whilst out of service.

In an attempt to accommodate those affected by this revised schedule, Condor is offering passengers free transfer to the Condor Liberation, which will be providing a daily service to and from Poole. Alternatively, passengers can opt for a full refund.
Paul Luxon, CEO of Condor Ferries said: “Our programme of fleet maintenance is published eighteen months in advance and available on our website so both vessels’ withdrawal from service was anticipated although the additional work to Commodore Goodwill is an adjustment from the existing dry dock plan.
“Whilst any inconvenience to passengers is regretted we are providing alternatives to and from the UK and the chartered ship will support our freight operation and commitments throughout the entire refit period.”
