Could you help foster a child?

Jersey’s Fostering and Adoption service has set itself the aim of finding 10 new foster families in 2017.

That’s twice the number it managed to find last year.

The department currently has 47 approved foster carers.

As part of Fostering Fortnight – a national campaign running from Monday 8 May until Saturday 20 May – the group has organised a number of local events to raise awareness and to encourage more fosterers to come forward.

A two-day pop up information site is being set up Les Quennevais precinct and will run on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 May from 10.00 to 16.00. There’ll be an additional opportunity to meet the team at the Jersey Library on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 May. The pop-up sites are designed to give the public a chance to have an informal chat and ask questions.
