As Storm Ciarán swept through the island, many events have been disrupted by the severe weather – and Express has compiled a handy guide of all the cancellations and reschedulings.
Adverse weather, safety concerns and structural damage have led to various cancellations this weekend, including Bonfire Night festivities to exhibitions, a farming conference, fitness equipment sales, and more.
The St Martins Bonfire which was due to be held on Saturday 4th November has had to be postponed until Saturday 11th November 2023.
Organiser Danny Wherry said: "This is obviously due to the inclement weather forecast for the next few days. This means that the fields which we use for car parking are waterlogged and impossible to use."
"The Committee apologises for the inconvenience this may cause but is obviously beyond our control."
ArtHouse Jersey was set to launch an interactive, multi-media and multi-site exhibition that explores how people connect on Thursday 2 November.
Art House Jersey said: "We've had to stand down all launch celebration activities and will hold off opening the exhibition tomorrow while we continue to monitor the damage caused by the storm."
On "Saturday 4 November, we will be throwing open the doors on Skipton Big Ideas: Human Connections, with the gallery exhibition at ArtHouse Jersey at Capital House opening between 10.30 and 18:00 Saturday and Sunday (closed Mondays)" organisers added.
The Farming Conference set for Thursday 2 November was cancelled.
It will will be rescheduled to Friday 10 November at La Mare Wine Estate and online.
The annual conference brings the local farming community together with politicians and government officials to hear from industry experts on topics that this year include challenges facing farmers today, what future government support might look like and how it is accessed, and environmental concerns affecting the industry.

We are making the call to cancel Saturday’s parkrun.
The severity of the storm & the amount of trees & branches down along the parkrun route plus strong winds still forecast for Saturday mean our priority must be participant & volunteer safety.
The equipment sale due to take place at Fort Regent on Saturday has been postponed by Fort Regent and Active.
They said the Fort had suffered "significant water ingress" and the building is closed until Monday.
The secondhand gym equipment sale follows on from the closure of the Fort Regent Active facility.
