A man trapped by a HGV lorry was rescued thanks to a team of firefighters using specialist hydraulic equipment yesterday morning.
The Fire and Rescue Service was called just before 09:00 on Tuesday (20 April) to help the man, who was trapped by his feet at the rear of the lorry, in the area of Le Marais, St. Clement.
Six firefighters arrived with a specialist rescue unit, and had to use hydraulic rescue equipment to release him.
Once released, the man was treated by paramedics, who arrived shortly after the Fire and Rescue team.
The cause of the trapping is currently being investigated.
"All emergency services on scene worked collaboratively to free the man who was trapped in a timely but safe manner," Watch Commander Craig Channing commented.
