Five young men accused of rape appeared in court this morning where their next appearance was postponed so that court documents can be translated.
The five men - aged between 18 and 24 - appeared in the Magistrate's Court shortly after 10:00 this morning.
Oprea Stefanita Dobre (18), Alexandru Dobrin (18), Florin Ionut Calin (20), Dorel Stefanita Diaconu (22) and Marius Adrian Dobrin (24) are each charged with two counts of rape.
They are all charged in relation to an alleged rape on Sunday 16 December in the Parish of Trinity.
The case was due to be sent to the Royal Court this morning due to the seriousness of the charges, but the committal date has now been postponed until 19 February as the paperwork needs to be translated for the defendants.
