Jersey Tourism is looking to stand out from the crowd this week on a world stage and sell the Island as a destination to the thousands who will be attending the World Travel Market exhibition.
It’s joining more than five thousand exhibitors at the event at the ExCel exhibition centre in London’s Docklands.
The four-day exhibition runs until Thursday and attracts over 50,000 International travel experts as well as exhibitors from 183 different countries.
Director of tourism and marketing David de Carteret said: “This is the most important exhibition that we attend in the UK. It gives us an opportunity to discuss business going forward with our existing operators and create relationships with potential new ones, especially targeting developing markets.
“WTM also showcases trends and developments and innovative promotional avenues which we will also be exploring. The competition for Jersey is high and whilst we are having a successful year in growing our leisure business in 2014, we are working hard to continue this growth for the rest of the year, into the 2015 and beyond”.
Travel trade partners Condor Ferries, Flybe, Seymour Hotels and VisitGuernsey will all be sharing the stand with Jersey Tourism.
