The funeral of a former honorary policewoman and Youth Court panellist, who passed away in tragic circumstances earlier this month, will take place this afternoon.

Pamela Margaret Nisbet (68) died from stab wounds to her neck on 6 August.

Today, friends, family and St. Peter parishioners have been invited to remember her at a service taking place at 13:00 at St. Brelade’s Church.

Reverend Mark Bond, the Rector of St. Brelade, will lead proceedings, which will be followed by a private family committal.

Following her death, tributes flooded in for Mrs Nisbet, who was described by Law Society CEO Neville Benbow as a “lovely lady and a true professional.”

He recalled: "Amongst her service to the community she served on the Law Society’s Disciplinary Panel for ten years and was formerly a member of the Honorary Police, with a keen eye for fairness and justice.

“Her passing is a tragedy; Pam will be sadly missed and we send our thoughts and prayers to her family at this difficult time.”

Those attending her funeral have been invited to the St. Brelade’s Bay Hotel after the service to share memories of the valued member of the community.
