Guida and Morel elected in St. Lawrence

Wednesday 16 May 2018

St Lawrence voters have chosen Gregory Guida and Kirsten Morel as their new Deputies.

They respectively polled 1,194 and 1,499 while Sarah Westwater (Reform), the third candidate in the Parish, polled 299.

Guida and Morel will be replacing Deputy John Le Fondré, one of the 17 hopeful for a Senator seat in this year's elections, and Deputy Eddie Noel, Minister for Infrastructure, who decided not to stand again.

A total of 2,992 votes were cast in St. Lawrence, as announced by Jurat Geoffrey Grime, with four spoilt votes and a 43.85% turnout in the Deputies Election.

St. Lawrence's Constable, Deirdre Mezbourian, was re-elected unopposed earlier this year.
