The owner of a hut selling baked goods in St. Lawrence is appealing for the thief of her honesty box to hand themselves in, so she can avoid taking the case further.
Daisy Country Bakes had its cash box ripped out of the wall over the weekend, with the culprit caught in the act on CCTV.
Run by Daisy Larbalestier, Daisy's Country Bakes first opened in 2020.
While pursuing a career as a chef and working in Michelin Star restaurants, Daisy found herself unemployed due to the covid-19 pandemic and decided to follow her passion and start out on her own venture.

Since opening up her hut selling "freshly baked goods and country delights", she has received an "unbelievable" response from islanders.
The theft of her cash box was therefore a shock.
Daisy announced on Facebook yesterday that she had caught the incident on CCTV, and that she is giving the culprit an opportunity to anonymously return the box. If the box is returned, the Police will not be contacted.

As a result, the hut will now only be accepting bank transfer and Revolut for the time being, details for which will be displayed.
Daisy commented on Facebook: "I really do apologise for this inconvenience, it’s very sad those few dishonest people have to ruin it for others."
Many islanders piled in with supportive comments. One wrote: "Oh Daisy I'm so sorry. Hope this person does the right thing and returns it with apology!"
Another added: "So sorry to hear this... I hope whoever is responsible brings it back... We love visiting your hut!"
