Plans have been put forward to improve the play area at Le Marais Estate – with hopes it will be ready by the summer.
If Andium Homes' plans are approved, new additions would include whale and seal-themed rockers, as well as a basket swing.
As well as replacement play equipment, the improvements would include new tarmac and benches, and the installation of new safety flooring and a pedestrian safety barrier.
Andium said improving the play area formed part of an overall package of refurbishment works across Le Marais, including the recently completed refurbishment of the apartment buildings adjoining the site, and the installation of pergolas and bike stores.

The housing provider said in documents submitted as part of the planning application that discussions with residents in the area had highlighted a desire to improve the play area and that the goal was "to have the improved play facilities in place for the summer school holidays".
They also said that the existing play equipment, which is largely metal, would be recycled.
