"Get on with it!" - Social media reacts to hospital plan pivot

After a £30,000 Government review concluded that the current 'Our Hospital' plan for Overdale should be scrapped in favour of a new multi-site solution, opinions were understandably mixed and many islanders took to social media to express their thoughts on the proposed plans...

Reform Jersey leader, Deputy Sam Mézec expressed his disbelief that Jersey will be getting new hospital facilities "without any further delay".

Similarly, the main message from the public's Facebook comments was a strong "get on with it"...

Deputy Monty Tadier of St. Brelade focussed on the lack of consultation with his constituents regarding the plans to keep the old Les Quennevais School site permanently for Health... 

Another islander expressed his thoughts towards the multi-site hospital plans through the medium of GIFs...

Liz Miller referenced how the plans proposed in the recent report are very similar to those suggested by former Minister for Health Anne Pryke almost a decade ago... 

Other Facebook commenters felt that the biggest concern was the time that had been wasted on the project so far...
