Inquest opens after man killed in St. Peter crash

Tuesday 23 February 2021

An inquest has opened into the death of a 31-year-old islander killed in a single-vehicle crash in St. Peter.

Christopher John Le Marquand Fisher, from St. Peter, was driving a red Nissan when the fatal collision occurred near St. Ouen's Manor on La Grande Route de St. Ouen on Thursday 11 February.

Emergency Services attended but sadly Mr Fisher died at the scene.

An inquest was opened at 10:00 this morning to establish exactly how he died.

The purpose of an inquest is not to allocate blame, but to understand the circumstances surrounding a person's death.

The inquest has since been adjourned to allow a family funeral to take place.
