Jersey RFC lost 31-27 to Doncaster Knights at Castle Park - a losing bonus point and a disappointing result for the Reds.
Jersey dominated territory throughout in the first half and went into the break with a four-point advantage, having out-scored the hosts by two tries to one.
The second half started well and Jersey roared over for their third, scored by Tom Howe, after a matter of minutes, but that was where it ended for the Reds.
Slowly Doncaster came back into it and scored two more tries of their own and closed out the game to take the win. Jersey Athletic also lost to Richmond at home, 24-41.
