Jersey Sport has appointed the former Designate Deputy Chief of Police as their new Head of Corporate Services.
James Wileman will take on the newly created position, which Jersey Sport hope will bolster its senior management.
It follows the departure of Jersey Sport’s General Manager to the Jersey Football Association earlier this year.
Mr Wileman will help to oversee the 'Inspiring an Active Jersey' strategy, which most recently saw Primary School children given a year’s free club membership to sports clubs in their local area.

Phil Austin, MBE, Chairman of Jersey Sport said, “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome someone of James’ calibre to Jersey Sport.
“As an experienced senior executive, he will help to drive the organisation forward whilst allowing Catriona McAllister, our CEO, to focus on her work as Programme Director of the Sports Facility Project. This is a hugely exciting period for sport and active living in Jersey, and James’ appointment could not have come at a better time.”
