When Jersey's answer to Calvin Harris, young musician Jordan Burrows, released his new single last month, it definitely seemed to hit all the right notes - notching up around 50,000 listens in little over two weeks.
Now the 21-year-old creative is hoping to strike a chord with islanders once again - this time in revealing the five things he would change about Jersey.
The budding popstar has been writing music since his early teens, but it was when he beat thousands to scoop the Britain’s Best Unsigned Male award aged just 19 that things really took off. Now he's collaborating with dance producer Glance, and yesterday released his second single from a brand new EP to be released soon.
But amid singing and songwriting, he took the time to tell chat everything from takeaways to mental health with Express.
Here's how he proposes to shoot Jersey into stardom, featuring a tuneful treat at the end...
Just to be clear before I say any of this - I do ABSOLUTELY love Jersey. It’ll always be home, and I truly do believe it’s one of the best places in the world to live! However, if I could change five things, they would be...
As much as it has improved over the past decade, I feel that the knowledge of mental health care still isn’t quite where it should be. Everyone knows that if you have a toothache, you call up your dentist. A stomach bug, you call up your doctor. But when going through a mental health issue, a lot of people don’t know how or who to contact, and therefore they suffer alone!

I'd like to see a greater awareness of mental health and increase public knowledge of where to find help when you need it.
I think that most people want to help the environment, but it’s either too impractical, or they just don’t feel like their actions will make a difference. Small incentives to be proactive would really help the cause.
Pictured: Jordan thinks there should be more than just a warm fuzzy feeling to incentivise islanders to help the environment.
One example would be a scheme where you drop your recyclable rubbish into collection centres, and are rewarded with things such as free bus passes etc. I think something like that would make people more likely to not only recycle, but to use public transport too!
After leaving Hautlieu at 18, I was set on going to University to study Music Production. But after traveling over to the UK for my auditions etc, I figured out I wasn’t quite ready to leave yet - scared, almost!
Pictured: Jordan always knew he wanted to make music, but was disappointed to find there wasn't a university course in Jersey to be able to do so. He's fortunately achieved success in spite of this, and yesterday released 'Landslide', his second single from his new EP.
I worry that I’m not the only one who felt like this, and that some people may have given up on their education because their field of interest was not available to study here at home!
Sometimes on weekends I really can’t be bothered to prepare and cook my dinner, but at the same time don’t feel like eating fast food and becoming all sluggish! It’d be great if someone started a take-away service which prepares and delivers healthy meals.

...and if there is one which I’m not aware of, someone please let me know!
I totally understand that the finance sector plays a huge and vital role in Jersey’s economy, but I think it’d be cool to start seeing a bunch of creative companies emerging on island!

It’d be great to see people being excited and passionate about the work they’re doing.
