A Queen Street-based sandwich shop is planning to expand near Charing Cross with a new outlet dishing out its famous “freshly baked French bread."
La Petite Baguette, which is run by Gino Risoli, has submitted a planning application to turn the shop previously occupied by Cobbler’s Key at 77 King Street into a food outlet.
Meanwhile, Cobbler’s Key has recently moved just a stone’s throw away, setting up next to Fotosound.
After 25 years of trading from his Queen Street shop, Gino said he was seeking to expand.
“The venue is very popular locally and enjoyed by many tourists,” he said. “The format using freshly baked French bread on our premises, filled with your favourite filling as you like it, has spelled out our success.
“The expansion into King Street is an opportunity and subject to contract, to offer Jersey people the convenience of a store closer to where they work and shop.”
