You're all invited to Church on Saturday afternoon to hear some Islanders in full song for Christmas.
The Les Amis Choir will be leading the singing in the Town Church at 15:00.
The Les Amis Christmas Carol Service is now firmly established on the Island’s festive calendar and the Choir is made up of residents and people who use the charity, which supports Islanders with learning disabilities and / or associated conditions.
The service will be led by the Dean, the Very Rev Bob Key and guests will include Chief Minister Ian Gorst and Deputy Bailiff Tim Le Cocq.
Les Amis Managing Director Shaun Findlay said: “The choir has been busily preparing for the service, which is one of the highlights of our year. Les Amis provide respite and day care services for some of the Island’s most vulnerable residents but their positivity and can-do attitude is an example to us all. This is such a joyous occasion and I urge as many people as possible to join in our Christmas celebrations."
Les Amis Director and one of the organisers of the service, Paul Battrick MBE, said: “I have seen how much effort the choir has been putting into rehearsing and it is simply inspiring. The Les Amis Christmas Carol Service becomes bigger and better every year and I’m sure that will continue this Saturday.”
There will be a retiring collection for Les Amis and refreshments be served afterwards in the Church Hall.
