Wild plans have gone in to turn part of the driving range at Les Mielles into a safari-themed adventure golf course.
The St. Peter-based golf and country club is hoping to open its adventure golf course just in time for the summer season next year.
The new facility will be located between the crazy golf and the 'pro' driving range.

Stefan Le Brun, Manager at Les Mielles, explained the recreation company's planning application aims to make use of the part of the driving range which is not currently in use, due to health and safety concerns over its proximity to the crazy golf course.
The new course will not be higher than the range and will be covered in artificial grass.
“There will be different obstacles you have to go around,” Mr Le Brun added. “It’s a similar concept to the mini golf, but with a safari theme. There will be different areas.
“It will have 18 holes, like the crazy golf. It will require little bit more skill, but it will still be available for any age or ability and will be wheelchair-friendly.”

The new adventure course might include some Jersey-inspired objects, but not as many as the crazy golf, Mr Le Brun said.
He also noted that each hole will be designed around a different concept.
The application is still pending and Les Miles does not expect to hear back until the middle of summer.
If approved, the new course will therefore not open until “prime season” in June 2021.
