Lewis Street incident - man charged

A 20-year-old man is due to appear in court this morning in connection with an incident at the Homeless Shelter in Lewis Street on Sunday night.

Thomas Robert Kergozou De La Boessiere, 20, has been charged with malicious damage and affray following the incident which saw Lewis Street closed off to the public.

He will appear before magistrates this morning. 

Armed police appeared at the scene, some in riot gear, and the street was closed off for several hours.
