Man admits breaking Covid isolation rules - but denies providing false information

Wednesday 31 March 2021

A thirty-four year old man has admitted breaking covid regulations by failing to isolate.

In the Magistrate's Court yesterday, Gary Alan Brenkley pleaded guilty to two counts of failing to isolate – on 26 January at South Hill Gardens and on 27 January at a property on Queen’s Road.

However, he denies providing false information to a member of the Environmental Health team on the latter date.

Consequently, a trial date for that alleged offence has been set for 20 May, after which Mr Brenkley will be sentenced for the failing-to-isolate offences.
