A jet-ski passenger has sustained "potentially life changing" injuries to his leg following a collision with a speedboat in St Brelade's Bay this weekend.
The 45-year-old, Giles Corbin, has been airlifted for treatment at Southampton Hospital.
According to a Police spokesperson, Mr Corbin's injuries are "not believed to be life threatening, but are potentially life changing."
The 36-year-old driver of the speedboat was arrested for alleged reckless driving under Regulation 38 Boat and Surf-riding (Control) (Jersey) Regulations 1969. He is currently on police bail whilst the Harbourmaster continues his investigation, assisted by the Police.
According to witnesses on the beach and the jet-ski is reported to have been 'T-boned' as the speedboat crashed into its side at an angle.
According to a Police spokesperson, the driver of the jet-ski, a 33-year-old male, only suffered "superficial injury."
