A 47-year-old man accused of stealing £1,000 from a St. Helier betting shop is to face trial.
Emanuel Goncalves De Gouveia appeared in the Magistrate’s Court this morning, where he pleaded 'not guilty' to a single charge of theft at William Hill on Burrard Street.
Mr De Gouveia was not represented in court.
He was granted bail, and will appear back in the Magistrate’s Court on 23 November for his pre-trial directions hearing.
Relief Magistrate Sarah Fitz was presiding, and Legal Adviser Advocate Katie Ridley appeared for the prosecution.
