Man ends up in hospital after crash at Elizabeth Terminal

Thursday 25 February 2016

A man had to be treated in hospital after being asked to get out of his own vehicle by Customs officers at the Elizabeth Terminal and then being hit by the car behind him in the queue.

Police say they are still investigating the exact cause of the accident, but they think a 74-year-old man had also got out of his car, a black automatic x-type Jaguar, but left it in the 'drive' setting, and it drove itself into a 54-year-old man stood by his silver BMW.

The accident happened just before 2 pm last Thursday.

The 54-year-old was taken to A&E, but was discharged later that afternoon and is not thought to have any life changing injuries.
