A 29-year-old man will face a trial in Royal Court next year over accusations of grave and criminal assault against a woman.
Ismael Luna Dominguez is facing two counts of grave and criminal assault, as well as one count of common assault, all of which he denies.
The offences allegedly took place between 12 July and 19 August 2019 in a flat in St. Helier.
Mr Dominguez is accused of holding the woman down on an oven hob, kicking her and causing a bruise to her hand.
He appeared in Royal Court on Friday with his defence lawyer, Advocate Bell.
He pleaded not guilty to all three charges and will be facing a trial on 6 April 2020.
Mr Dominguez will appear again before Court on 22 November.
He has been remanded in custody.
