A 25-year-old man has been sentenced to 130 hours community service, banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay £6,000 after crashing into a pedestrian on his e-scooter.
Toby Woolley had previously denied the charges of illegally using an e-scooter, causing serious injury by riding it carelessly, and failing to report the accident.
However, he pleaded guilty and was sentenced in the Magistrate's Court on Friday.
Woolley's collision with a female pedestrian took place on Patier Road in St Saviour on the morning of 1 May.
He also crashed into a wall, injuring his face. Police arrested him shortly after.

The woman was treated by paramedics but her injuries were not thought to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Woolley was sentenced to a total of 130 hours of community service, and disqualified from driving for 18 months.
He was also fined £1,000 and ordered to pay compensation of £5,000.
