Thursday 08 December 2016

A teenage motorcyclist is in hospital with a number of injuries after colliding with a car in St Helier this morning.

The crash involving the 16 year-old on a 50 cc moped and a 65-year-old man in a blue Honda Jazz happened just after 11:00 on La Route du Fort at the Cleveland Road junction.

The Health department say the teenager is still being treated at the General Hospital but the police say his injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.

The road was closed for a time, but has since re-opened.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
