A much-loved nursery in St. Helier has closed its doors this week with plans submitted to convert the building into two homes.
Sunnyside Nursery said a final farewell to parents and children before closing on Tuesday, with many parents taking to social media to thank the staff for their hard work and support.
"I can't thank them enough," one parent wrote, while another said: "We love Sunnyside and all the staff, so sorry to hear it’s closing."
Plans had previously been approved to convert the existing ground floor nursery and four-bedroom house into three homes, but revised plans were recently submitted.

The new plans propose converting the building to create one five-bedroom house and one two-bedroom house.
The proposed five-bedroom house will have three bathrooms and a walk-in wardrobe on the top floor.
As part of the property is already residential, the original planning assessment concluded the development would have no impact on neighbours.
In response to the updated application, the Department for Infrastructure, Housing and Environment said: “Whilst our comments to the original application remain, it is noted that this proposal would reduce parking on site reflecting likely reduced number of trips from one fewer residential unit.
“Given this, the revised proposal is welcome compared to the original."
