Police are still investigating the “suspicious” death of islander Ana Rebelo two months on and are said to have pursued over 240 lines of enquiry.
The 51-year-old Portuguese national was discovered dead in her Victoria Street home on 4 April this year, and was said to have been killed by, “…compression to the neck by a third party.”
Six officers continue to work on the investigation full-time and are now working on 95 leads, including forensic work. Family liaison officers are supporting Mrs Rebelo’s family.
Two suspects – both of whom were questioned by the Police last month – remain on Police bail, but no one has been charged.
