Murder sentencing tomorrow

Wednesday 07 January 2015

The man who admitted to the murder of a Jerseyman in a town flat in April is due to be sentenced tomorrow.

Darren McCormack (35) entered a guilty plea to a murder charge during his last court appearance.

He will be back in court tomorrow to hear the Superior Number of the Royal Court – which sits only to hear the most serious cases and hand down the lengthiest prison sentences – decide how long he should remain behind bars.

McCormack’s victim, Colin Chevalier (46), was found dead in his flat in Duhamel Place in April.
