A man was yesterday taken to hospital following a four-car crash on Victoria Avenue, at the junction of La Rue du Galet.
Four other people received roadside precautionary checks on the scene.
The accident, which is now being investigated by the Police, occurred just after 12:20 on Thursday.
Four cars were involved in the accident with one of the vehicle passenger receiving medical treatment on the roadside. Working with the on-scene paramedics, firefighters quickly got to work with emergency casualty care and scene safety.

Due to the seriousness of the incident and to ensure the safety of crews working on site, the west bound side of Victoria Avenue had to be closed for approximately an hour. Islanders were urged to avoid the area.
Watch Commander Richard Ryan said: "I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding with the traffic congestion that resulted in the decision to close one of Jersey main roads."
