Dry zones where people can enjoy a festive refreshment while waiting to enter a shop are among the ideas under consideration by St. Helier to enhance islanders' Christmas shopping experience during the pandemic.
The idea is one of a number floated in a new survey aiming to gather information about what might encourage islanders to do their Christmas shopping locally rather than online.
It ranges from asking about live music to gift wrapping services and pop-up stalls for food, drink and locally produced items.
The Parish explained on Facebook: "With Christmas around the corner and some unusual circumstances to navigate this year, we want to hear from you guys about what will help make town feel like Christmas.
"All the businesses are working really hard to make sure when you come in, you have access to what you need and want and feel safe doing so, and we want to know what the icing on the cake would be.
"So if you haven't been back in yet, have an idea about what you would want to see for the festive season and have an idea about how to make Christmas better within current guidelines, then we really want to hear from you."
