A passenger, who had to be cut from a car after it hit a tree at high speed last night, is being treated in hospital with serious injuries.
Three cars were involved in the collision on Route de l’Aleval in St. Peter’s Valley around 19:30 yesterday.
The occupants of two suffered no injuries, but the Fire and Rescue Service said the other’s impact against a tree left a female “trapped by the wreckage of the vehicle which had impinged into the passenger compartment on impact."

Firefighters had to use hydraulic power tools to cut the passenger free.
Ambulance workers then helped remove her from the car on a spinal board and took her to the hospital for treatment.
The driver was said to have received “minor injuries”.
