A 67-year-old Jerseyman charged with more than 30 sex offences on young girls dating back to the 1970s, including raping an eight-year-old and a 13-year-old, appeared in the Royal Court this morning.
Lester Charles Quenault has been charged with 13 counts of indecent assault, 12 counts of procuring an act of gross indecency, and seven counts of rape.
The cases involve three girls referred to in court as Miss X, Y and Z.
He denies the charges, and so a two-week trial will start on 11 December.
Mr Quenault has been released on bail.
