Plans have been submitted to turn a Halkett Street shop into a café and restaurant with a small jazz stage.
The proposal to redevelop Highlands House, a former retail unit, was submitted by BCK Holdings and MAC Architectural Services Limited acting as the agent.
BCK Holdings are requesting a change of use from Class A shop into Class B for a café and restaurant.
It would include an al-fresco area sitting 24 people with 117 seats available inside. Plans show a lounge area as well as a large bar seating area and a “dynamic elevated platform” which would be used as exclusive seating or a jazz stage.
