Polish nationals offered repatriation flight

Wednesday 01 April 2020

A repatriation flight for Polish nationals living in Jersey will be taking off this weekend.

Scheduled for Saturday (4 April), the flight is the result of collaboration by the Polish Embassy UK, Poland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Government of Jersey.

LOT - an organisation offering special charters to help Polish nationals return to the country - will be operating the flight.

Tickers are currently priced at 598.43 Polish złoty (around £115).

The Jersey flight is one of a number being organised by the airline to help people from the country return home amid suspensions of regular flight connections in Poland due to the covid-19 outbreak.

Asked by Express whether people of other nationalities would be supported in returning home, government officials said an announcement was due later this week.
