Police hunt driver of moped that ran over woman’s foot

A woman had to be treated in hospital when a moped ran over her foot without stopping.

The incident happened last Wednesday around 17:15 by the Bel Royal Burger Bar.

Heading west, Police said the moped went over her foot as she crossed the carriageway.

It didn’t stop to check how she was, but continued onwards.

Pictured: The woman had to go to A&E to treat her foot. 

The woman was then taken to the Emergency Department, where she received treatment for a “minor” injury.

Describing the incident as a “road traffic collision”, Police say they are now looking to hunt down the driver.
