Police investigating 'suspicious death’

Tuesday 04 April 2017

Jersey Police are investigating what they describe as the ‘suspicious death’ of a middle-aged woman in a property in town.

Crime Scene Investigators are carrying out a forensic examination of a flat on the first floor of 10 Victoria Street in St Helier, and detectives are already interviewing key and significant witnesses. The street has now been closed from public access.

The Ambulance Services attended the property this morning, but Police were later called to attend at 10:49.

A major incident room has since been established at Police HQ, and an official investigation - named Operation Gable - has been launched.

The Deputy Viscount, Advocate Mark Harris, has been informed.
