Saturday 07 January 2023

A former steak and sushi restaurant boss accused of two grave and criminal assaults is due to face a trial later this year.

Shinzo co-founder Gavin Neil Roberts (43) - who has been in custody following the alleged incident since 31 October - appeared before the Deputy Bailiff at the Royal Court on Friday via video link and pleaded 'not guilty'.

A three-day trial has been scheduled to take place in June.

Mr Roberts was remanded in custody, and will next appear in court for a directions hearing on 27 February.
