The G-force is strong with long-serving Acorn employee and keen Star Wars fan Val Gavey, who this weekend completed a skydive to raise money for the social enterprise.
The 62-year-old raised a well-earned glass of champagne after sticking the landing at the weekend.
She is no stranger to skydiving – having now completed her seventh jump – but this is the first time raising money for Acorn.
Val, who has been described by colleagues as "a die-hard Star Wars fan who enjoys a pint in the Dolphin when she isn’t abseiling or jumping out of planes", has so far raised around £450 of her £750 target.

In a post on Facebook, the Acorn team said: "Val skydived in style today, raising a glass of champagne to celebrate her seventh skydive, and her first to raise money for Acorn.
"The stormtroopers were there to welcome her as she is such a big Star Wars fan."
