STRIKES: When will schools be closing?

With hundreds of civil servants and teaching assistants due to strike on Monday and Tuesday in protest at the States' latest pay offer, a full list of schools set to close over lunchtime as a result has now been published.

On Monday, Customs and Immigration officers will be striking for the entire day, joined by teaching assistants between 11:30 and 14:00. Other civil servants will be striking for the entire day on Tuesday 15 January.

With striking teaching assistants, and many schools' support staff falling under the civil service pay bracket, some schools are set to close over the lunchtime period so that they can stay within health and safety limits.

The States have since published a full list of those that will be affected...
