A man in his 40s suspected to have followed a young girl home from school has been interviewed under caution by Police.
A 10-year-old said that she had been left “unnerved” after noticing a bearded older man continuing in the same direction as her as she walked from Plat Douet Road towards Rue de Pres last Wednesday.
She explained that she had stopped walking once or twice to see whether he would walk past her, but the man - apparently in high visibility workwear, hooded, and carrying a Food Hall bag – was said to have stopped at the same time and continued in her direction.

While the man did not attempt to touch or speak to her, the primary school child said that the alleged ordeal had upset her.
A spokesperson for the Force confirmed today that a 42-year-old man has now been interviewed under caution following the incident.
“The investigation is still ongoing, however we are not looking for anyone else in relation to this incident,” they said.
They added that the incident was not connected with a separate investigation into a man alleged to have followed and touched the hips of a woman in the early hours of Sunday morning in the area of Le Hocq.
