One of Jersey's oldest seaside hotels is inviting its neighbours to check in for afternoon tea to help celebrate its centenary.

The Ommaroo Hotel is hosting a big Garden Party on Friday, September 9th for friends and people who live in Havre des Pas.

The event marks the start of the 100-day countdown to the Hotel's official 100th birthday on 16 December.

The hotel has passed through four generations of the same family and is still under the ownership of Major Colin Grant and guests at the party will get to find out more about its history. His daughter Fiona is now Managing Director and has been working with her father to oversee over £1.5m of extensive refurbishment across the hotel as well as a re-brand and the launch of its new conference and outdoor pool facilities. The hotel's front façade is currently being restored as part of the centenary. celebrations. 

Managing Director Fiona Kerley said: “We are looking forward to welcoming local residents and friends of the Ommaroo Hotel to our 100 Year Garden Party Celebration to mark this historic occasion and in appreciation of their continued support.”
