Woman arrested over 'nightclub glass attack'

A 22-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of attacking a man in a nightclub with a glass, resulting in him needing stitches.

The alleged glassing against a 24-year-old man took place in Vittoria - the former Mimosa bar and club located in Liberty Wharf, St. Helier - on Saturday night.

The man had to attend hospital, where he received several stitches.

Police told Express that, following the reported incident, "a 22-year-old female was arrested on suspicion of grave and criminal assault and has since been released on bail whilst enquiries continue".
