A 53-year-old woman has been charged with grave and criminal assault following an alleged knife attack that saw a 52-year-old man hospitalised yesterday.
Marion Michel was charged today in connection with the St. Peter incident.
Police said she has been remanded in custody and will appear in the Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 21 August.
In a statement released shortly after midday on Monday, Police explained that they went to an address in St. Peter following reports of what they are describing only as a "domestic incident" with a knife.
An ambulance was already there, with paramedics treating the man for his wounds. Ms Michel was arrested soon after. Detectives from the Serious Crime Unit are now investigating what happened.
A Health Department spokesperson confirmed that the man is now being held on a ward where he remains in a "stable" condition.
