Football players from across Jersey are invited to help a local charity support two more families by joining their inaugural six-a-side football cup.
The Brighter Futures challenge will be taking place on Sunday 27 August at Oakfield sports centre.
An opportunity to have fun while contributing to a good cause, the tournament will see each team play four 10-minute matches to help decide who will make the final.
The entry fee – £500 per team – is to go to the charity’s £10,000 goal, which they say will help them support two more families.
Teams can be mixed, all-male or all-female. “We don’t mind who plays, as long as they are adults,” said Sarah Nibbs, the charity’s Fundraising, Events and Partnerships Manager.
Brighter Futures supports families, focusing on parent and child relationships, wellbeing and mental health, and personal development and second chance learning. Families they support get access to programmes, one-to-one support, and an action plan.

She added: “We are doing well with registrations and are delighted to have Ogier on board as the sponsor.
“We would be delighted to welcome further teams to join us that morning.”
Anyone interested in entering a team should contact Sarah Nibbs at s.nibbs@brighterfutures.org.je.
