The man sadly passed away in the Princess Elizabeth Hospital today.
A spokesperson has released the following statement:
Guernsey Police can sadly confirm that the single vehicle RTC at the bottom of the Val des Terres has resulted in one fatality.
The man driving the vehicle, who was in his 70s, passed away at the PEH a short while ago.
Our thoughts are with his family at this sad and difficult time.
The South Esplanade and Val des Terres continues to be closed while collision investigation work is carried out.
