A restaurant worker has appeared in Guernsey’s Magistrates Court for allegedly making a hoax bomb threat against Folies nightclub.
33-year-old Francesco Bianco has been charged with breaking the Terrorism and Crime law.
He appeared before the Magistrate on Monday morning before being released on conditional bail until 1 June when he is next due in court.
Bianco had allegedly told someone else that there was an explosive device inside Les Folies D’amour night club in the early hours of Sunday 10 May.
Other businesses along the North Esplanade, including takeaways and bars, also had to close early on the night, as police officers launched a search.
All staff and guests inside the club and other businesses were safely evacuated.
