The road was blocked at around 16:30 yesterday with the bus left unable to move due to damage to its front right side and tyre.

Police now say the driver of a car “left the scene immediately after the incident”.  

The public quickly helped to identify the car and the male driver was arrested shortly after, Police added. 

No-one was harmed in the collision, but both vehicles suffered damage.
