No further details have been released about the incident or the man arrested.
But Police said this morning that “officers will always respond in a robust manner to allegations such as this”.
Earlier this week, Express reported on a Police appeal for witnesses who were on the beach or nearby between 15:00 and 16:00 on Monday.
“Guernsey Police would like to thank witnesses that came forward to assist in that investigation,” said the Police.
